Venue Rooms and Costs

To keep costs down, I've been a bit mean with proposed hire times.

Friday 7th August

• 2 rooms for tutorials, more if required, 9.00am to 5.30pm
• Lecture rooms 1 and 2 suitable (capacity 40 each approx), £23 per hour each
• Also need people/space for bag stuffing

Cost : £391

Saturday 8th August

• Adrian Boult Hall, 9:00am to 10:30 am, for plenary opening sessions, seats 520, £95 per hour
• Recital Hall, 10:00 to 5.30pm, seats 160, £60 per hour
• New Lecture Theatre, 10:00 to 5:30pm, seats 120, £49 per hour
• Arena Foyer, 10:00am to 5:30pm, seats 100, £49 per hour
• Bar available for BoF's/Open Space (no charge)

Cost: £ 1327.50

We need to arrange an evening dinner venue, possible places, need checking:

• Holiday Inn
• Novotel
• Hyatt Regency
• Burlington Hotel
• Some random Chinese or Greek restaurant

At this notice, on a Saturday in August, we may have problems finding a venue.

There is a concert on Saturday evening, displays in the foyer will have to moved into the Arena Foyer overnight.

Sunday 9th August

• Adrian Boult Hall, 2:00pm to 4:30 pm, for plenary sessions, seats 520, £95 per hour
• Recital Hall, 9:00 to 1.00pm, seats 160, £60 per hour
• New Lecture Theatre, 9:00 to 1:00pm, seats 120, £49 per hour
• Arena Foyer, 9:00am to 4:30pm, seats 100, £49 per hour
• Bar available for BoF's/Open Space (no charge)

Cost: £941

Total Cost for Room Hire: £2659.50 plus VAT

Room Hire includes free wireless access.

Refreshments will be extra: allow £8.50 plus VAT for lunch, say £1.40 per head for tea/coffee/biscuits per serving.

For tutorial day, let the students buy their own lunch at one of the many nearby food shops/sandwich bars/pubs/burger bars/sushi place
